Saint Lucia’s Governor-General, Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy, joined the rest of the world in congratulating Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with the following message on the birth of their first child.
“The Government and People of Saint Lucia join me in conveying our sincerest congratulations and best wishes to Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their baby boy. We wish the young prince the best of health and happiness in the days and years ahead.”
The royal baby, who has been named George Alexander Louis, is third in line to the throne and was born at St Mary’s Hospital in west London on Monday 22 July 2013. He will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. He is the first born of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, as well as the only grandchild of Charles, Prince of Wales, and his first wife Diana, Princess of Wales. He is third in line to succeed his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, after his grandfather and father.
