The Select Committee of Stakeholders and the National Carnival Queen Pageant Committee announce auditions for the 2013 National Carnival Queen Pageant.
Representatives from the 2012 Anse la Raye, Vieux Fort and Gros Islet pageants have already secured their place in the National Pageant this year. Auditions will be held on March 17th 2013 in the following segments:

WELLNESS INNOVATORS, a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals whose mandate is to create a culture of health awareness, collaborates with ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE (AUSOM) in executing the 2012 I AM BEAUTIFUL DAY. The event has received the endorsement of the Ministry of Education and will be celebrated at all Secondary Schools on the island on Friday 12th October under the theme WORTHY TO BE HEALTHY.
Last year Wellness Innovators delivered presentations to the general assembly at each school with an emphasis on awareness of sexually transmitted infections, oral hygiene and emotional health.
This year the unique collaboration of WELLNESS INNOVATORS and AUSOM will remind every student that they are beautiful and worthy to be healthy. Students of Atlantic University School of Medicine will facilitate health expositions at the schools while the collaboration works to foster the sharing of uplifting words and deeds among the student population.

The Saint Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association (SLHTA) congratulates Sandals Resorts International on their successful bid for the MISS SLHTA 2012 Crown. The show was held on Saturday, September 08, 2012 with the theme “Celebrating Icons of Saint Lucia’s Arts and Culture” seeking to forge stronger links between tourism and culture. The five contestants representing Hotels, Destination Management Companies and other Allied Members exhibited a variety of talents and passion as they competed in four categories, including an exhibition of the Wob Dwiyet, for the coveted Crown. Contestants hailed from the following companies:
