A new talk show, hosted by the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, Mrs. Jadia Jn. Pierre-Emmanuel begins on Tuesday July 24, 2012 on RSL 97 from 2:00pm. The one hour programme, “Inside Government” will feature officials of the Government of Saint Lucia and is aimed at informing the public on the workings of Government as well as plans, decisions and initiatives of this administration.
Hon. Dr. Robert Lewis, Parliamentary Representative for Castries South and Minister for Education, Human Resource and Labour will be the first guest on the programme. The Minister is expected to speak on the Labour Code which will be implemented on August 01, 2012, as well as avenues for assistance in preparation for the new school year. As parliamentary Representative for Castries South, Dr. Lewis will also speak on undertakings in his constituency.

Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony is also expected to commence a radio programme “In Touch”, on Love FM, the only radio station based in the South. “In Touch” will also be hosted by Prime Minister’s Press Secretary and will feature individuals specific to the development of the South and Vieux-Fort in particular.
Beginning Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 7:00-8:00pm, Prime Minister Anthony will outline his plans for Vieux-Fort and will speak extensively on ongoing works and projects that are currently in the pipeline for Vieux-Fort South and Saint Lucia. Given the nature of this talk show, Parliamentary Representative for Vieux-Fort South will be the first and most frequent guest.

The commencement of these talk shows is consistent with the promise to embark on an aggressive public relations strategy which utilizes both traditional and non-traditional forms of interaction with the public.
