Desruisseaux Man Found on Micoud Road Side
On Friday 16th June, 2012, about 2: 00 am, Officers attached to the Micoud Police Station were summoned to the Micoud Highway.
On arrival there they noticed a male individual lying on the side of the road. He appeared to have had injuries all over his body.
Subsequent investigations assisted the police in ascertaining the identity of this individual. He is 37 year old Winston Charles also known as Jungle of Anse Ger, Desruisseaux.
He was subsequently conveyed to St.Jude’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A post mortem is scheduled for Wednesday 20th June 2012 to determine the cause of death.
An investigation into the matter is being continued.
20 year old injured on Jeremie Street
On Friday 16th June, 2012, about 9; 45 pm, Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department responded to an incident which occurred on Jeremie Street.
Information received that 20 year old Ervin Smith of New Village was standing on Jeremie Street when an unknown individual walked up to him slashed the left side of his throat.
He was taken to Victoria Hospital where he received medical treatment. He is currently admitted at the said hospital and is in a stable condition.
Investigations are continuing into the matter.
