Looshan Carnival Fever is in the air and once again Piton Beer is the official beer and sponsor of this great cultural showcase. However the award winning Saint Lucian beer is not just an ordinary sponsor but is partnering with a number of entities to create the carnival fever as well as building on a few initiatives of its own.
Quite apart from supporting the central body organizing carnival, Piton Beer will play an integral part in a number of the community carnivals and events and the major carnival bands including Red Unlimited, Just 4 Fun and Toxik Nation. Piton is also throwing its support behind some of the tents including NG Soca Stage which launches this Saturday June 16 as well as major fetes like Cooler Fete and “Outrageous Sexy In Black, July 13.
But beyond this however, Piton continues to brand a few events including the popular Piton Party in the Yard the annual carnival Friday after work lime at the CSA car park Sans Souci. Then there is Piton Soca Starz now in its third year but already an established event on the carnival calendar. Piton Soca Starz is now nearing the grand finale which takes place Friday June 29 in Vieux Fort.
As is customary, ever since Piton was designated official beer of Saint Lucian Carnival several years ago, the beer has sealed its approval with the annual Carnival logos and branding on the actual product which was rolled out last week. This, along with a brand new campaign for carnival 2012.
The campaign, a supermarket promotion affords customers purchasing a Piton beer 6 pack at any Super J Supermarket the chance to win Piton Carnival packs & carnival costumes from Red Unlimited! Receipts should be placed in Piton Branded boxes after purchase, with contact information, following purchase. The Promotion which began Friday June 15 will run until Wednesday July 11 and four winners will be chosen and announced on July 14 2012.
