Ahead of the official launch of EXPO 2012 scheduled for 15 May 2012, the OPSR is releasing snippets into what attendees can EXPECT to EXPERIENCE at the upcoming EXPORT-oriented Expo 2012.
One of the major side attractions will be tastes and smells of Saint Lucia presented by none other than Saint Lucia’s Culinary Team representing the island at upcoming Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) “Taste of the Caribbean Competition” to be held at the Hyatt Regency in Miami from the 20th – 24th June 2012.
Says Jacqueline Emmanuel, Director of OPSR: “We have invited the National Culinary Team to manage the concessionary booth at EXPO 2012, because they represent our skilful local chefs who are the best at delivering local cuisine to some of the most sophisticated and discriminatory palates of the world. By extension, they deliver Saint Lucia at its finest at such international level events worldwide, some as a team and others individually.” She says, “We are honored to be able to have them grace our palates at EXPO 2012 as they do at the CHA food and beverage competitions each year”.
The squad will be creating tastes and treats utilizing ingredients from local exporters. Their culinary expertise is expected to thrill exhibitors and attendees interested in discovering the fine quality and standards that exist within the local food and beverage industry.
EXPO 2012 will run under the theme “EXPECT, EXPERIENCE, EXPORT the best of Saint Lucia”, from May 24-26 at Union Industrial Estate, Castries, from Noon to 8PM daily. For more information visit www.opsr.org.lc.
