Radio Stations Unite for Haiti

*The One Caribbean Media (OCM) Network* which includes radio stations in the Leeward Islands of
Antigua, St. Kitts and Montserrat via the Gem Radio Network, Barbados via
Starcom Radio Network of four stations, Grenada via Grenada Broadcasting
Network of two stations, St Lucia via The Wave and Trinidad & Tobago – via
Hott 93 FM will be coming together on Saturday 16th January from 8:00AM to
12:00 noon for a grand Radiothon to raise funds for emergency earthquake
relief in Haiti.

The money collected will go towards the OCM Medianet Haiti Relief Fund, which was established in 2009 and is administered by Mr. Reginald Dumas who has worked in Haiti and has written a book about the challenges there.

We are in the process of inviting Prime Ministers and other politicians from
all our territories to participate in the Radiothon by giving their support
either in person by going to one of our studios or by telephone. So far Mr.
David Thompson the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mr. Stephenson King the Prime
Minister of St. Lucia and the Grenadian Opposition Leader Dr. Keith Mitchell
have all confirmed participation.

Two toll free lines will be active during the broadcast. They are Digicel #
1-246-839-HELP and LIME 1-800-744-2484 in addition to these lines listeners
may contact the local stations directly.
